Graphic Design for Print & Digital

Graphic Design
These days, graphic design is more commonly known as Visual Communications, because that’s what it does - it visually communicates a message. In today's world, the big name is Branding - and this is not to be confused with graphic design.
Graphic Design is one of the major skill sets which takes years to master, as it requires skills in multiple areas - illustration, typography, layout, visual impact, to name a few- and graphic design is implemented into nearly all touchpoints - advertising, editorial, corporate identity and so on.
The main difference is purpose: art is about personal self-expression and feeling, while graphic design is about communication and solving a problem. Art asks “What do I feel?, whereas design asks “What does the user or client need?”
We, on the other hand, like to mix the two up. We believe that graphic design should be a piece of art in itself whilst communicating to the core audience what they need. There is form, and function, both of which graphic design needs, but it should be beautiful too.
